工作内容
引进、改进或设计化工生产,如 :石油、各种气体、食品、药物、塑胶、废料处理等所需的设备;
编写安全的化学物生产线、控制及监督化学物的反应程序等;
设计化学生产的测量和控制系统;
提供有关工程的资讯与咨询,如:工程的可行性、预算案等给客户参考。
工作地点: 化学工业工厂或工地。
所需知识/技能: 产品设计、发展、测试及监督、加工、还原等、石油化学、废水处理、污染控制、食品加工、制药工业、肥料、玻璃工业、热力化学工程、聚合物、动能反应及反应设计、试验用具及机械使用、化验的程序及安全等。
就业前景:
毕业生可在化学工业、石化工业、环保工业、水泥工业、生物医学业、特用化学品工业、食品工业、纺织工业、造纸工业、光电业、半导体工业等任职。
我们生活中几乎每件物品,无不需要经过化学加工,没有了化学加工,物品就没办法大量生产,以应付社会庞大的需求量。因此,只要是生产就需要化学工程。从设计生产设备到生产过程及操作,化学工程所扮演的角色是不可或缺的,而在工业发展蓬勃的同时,化学工程师的需求也相应增加,因而制造很多就业机会。根据国家经济行动理事会的宣布,在未来十年内,我国尚需要2万9千名化学工程师。

Chemical Engineer
Chemical engineers are involved in the design, modification and operation of processes to produce the things we rely on everyday such as petrol, chocolate, petrol, cosmetics, electricity, cars, aspirin, the list is endless. Some chemical engineers also develop solutions to environmental problems, such as pollution control and remediation.
Market Demand
Chemical engineers can find employment in a variety of industries such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, design and construction, pulp and paper, petrochemicals, food processing, specialty chemicals, microelectronics, electronic and advanced materials, polymers, business services, biotechnology, and environmental health and safety industries, among others.
Education
For research and development, a candidate must generally need a Master’s degree, a PhD, or both. To work in operations, a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering is enough, although many engineers earn advanced degrees later on to move up. Chemical engineers also need to be able to communicate and write well.
